We are re-doing the fireplace in our Family Room.
This is what the fireplace looked like when the project began.
And here it is once all the stone was removed.
They started putting the new stone on it yesterday The bottom half is now squared off so it echos the shape of the cabinets.
You can't tell from the pictures, but the stone is really beautiful. The rock has lots of metal in it so it literally sparkles. The entire Family Room floor looks like the Tooth Fairy had a party on it, which is entirely possible since Michal lost a tooth last night!
Once the stonework is done, they're going to start putting bricks in a herringbone pattern in the firebox. We're still picking the brick.
Then the finish carpenter will start working on the top half of the fireplace, which will match the cabinets that flank the fireplace.

It is hard to picture what you mean so I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.
ReplyDeleteI did not understand the sleep under reference to a child's sister.
I meant that a Sleep Under is a smaller, less grown up version of a Sleep Over just like a younger sister is a smaller less grown-up child.
