An Olympic lunch
We are somewhat obsessed with the Olympics around here. Eric and I have been to three Olympics -- Atlanta, Nagano and Salt Lake -- and absolutely love them!
The girls love the Olympics too.
They are staying up way past their bedtime every night and sleeping in late every morning. They scream and cheer and root for the US and China. They love swimming, diving, gymnastics and beach volleyball. During last night's volleyball match between the US and China, they didn't like that China was wearing blue. Kenna's comment, to no one in particular, was "Come on China, bust out the red. China doesn't wear blue!"
And they are equal-opportunity Olympic fashion critics. They didn't think it was right that the US gymnasts wore hot pink either. I have to agree with them on that one, and add my dismay at the choice of gray and burnt orange for the jackets American athletes are wearing on the medal stands.
They are most concerned that there hasn't been "one single moment of archery" shown on TV. Archery seems to be their favorite sport of the moment. Thank you "Brave" for the inspiration!
