Tonight we went to a Chinese New Year party in Chinatown. This is an annual event hosted by our FCC chapter. Last year I chaired the event and this year it was nice to just enjoy the evening without any responsibilities.
Our good friends met us there and Kenna and Michal were so excited to see their friend Sarah. This is them with Sarah's baby sister, Vivian.
There was bingo and dance performances by girls in the group.
There was lots and lots of food. Miss Michal wasn't so sure about her egg roll.
We told her it was spanakopita to get her to eat it.
There was a fun lion dance.
These are the faces you make when the lion eats heads of lettuce and then spits them in your direction.
And this is the very fashionable shower cap you get to wear before you get to do the lion dance yourself.
Spanakopita? My daughter loves it too! :)
ReplyDeleteLove their faces as the dragon spits out lettuce. Haha! What is it about something rascally that makes them awe and giggle!

Spanakopita!? We love that stuff!!! Anything with spinach, LiLi and I are all over it!!! When LiLi is unsure about eating something, I usually just tell her that she loved it in China. Works everytime! ;o)
