Another 365 Days

On January 1, 2010 we were at the San Diego Airport heading home from Christmas vacation. I decided, after taking this picture, that I was going to embark on a 365 Day Project and attempt to take -- and post -- a photo every day for an entire year.

I thought the project would push and challenge me as a photographer. I thought it would encourage me to take pictures of things other than Michal and Kenna. And I thought it would be fun to have a chronicle of our year in pictures.

And even though I didn't successfully post a photo every single day, it did do all the things I'd hoped it would. There were months that I posted every single day and there were months that I didn't even come close to posting every single day. I never actually abandoned the project but the goal of posting every single day wasn't met.

Well, 365 days later I'm in California again, this time in San Francisco, and as I realized that my first 365 days had ended, I knew I wanted to try this project again for the exact same reasons I tried it the first time.

So here we go again!

  1. That's great news! You are an inspiration to me with the wonderful pics you take. I will be along for the ride!

  2. I am glad you are doing it again! I have enjoyed reading your posts and knowing that there would be more to come! Happy New Year my friend and best wishes to you and your family!!!

  3. Wow. Good luck with your project. I find it quite inspiring but I don't think I am quite ready to tackle such an endeavor. But.....i am really drawn to the idea....especially your point about not just taking pics of the girls as that is what happens to me as well, of course, with Sammi and Nicki.....

    Good luck!
