Friday Finds (The Monday Edition) {Stella McCartney for GapKids}

Stella McCartney, renowned designer and daughter of an oh-so-famous Beattle, has designed a Spring collection for GapKids that debuts tomorrow, March 30. This is her second season designing a pint-sized line with her high-style esthetic.

Her Fall collection was really cute but many of the pieces needed to be dry cleaned and the clothes were expensive.

The line was super popular though and even petite adults snapped up some of the signature pieces. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, France's first lady, appeared on French television sporting a Stella McCartney for GapKids jacket.

I've seen a few sneak peeks of the Spring line and there are some really cute pieces. I love the eyelet dress, which also comes in orange, and this sweet white sun dress with contrast piping. It will be fun to see what she's come up with when the entire line debuts tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers that it's all machine-washable and just a bit more reasonably-priced.

The collection will primarily be sold online and in limited stores across the country, except in New Jersey and New York where, according to my GapKids manager, "every last GapKids will stock the clothes."

I live in Chicago and in our entire metro area only the Michigan Avenue GapKids will carry the line. I guess people in New Jersey are just cooler than people in Chicago.

Who knew?

  1. Love Gap for kids! I will have to check out the new line! Thanks for the inside scoop!

    I also have to tell you Thank you! Thank you for posting about your scary experience with your gas at the end of the year. To try and make a long story short and to the point, a few months ago my sister was in from out of town and I was telling her about what had happen to you and your family that night (after reading it on your blog). I then found out she did NOT have a carbon monoxide detectors in her home of 5 years. (yah scary!) and when she got home she bought one. Well last week it saved their families lives. It went off just as they were about to go to sleep and they were hesitant to call because they felt fine. Well finally they called and when fireman came and check their home the readings were off the charts. Fireman said that CM detector saved their lives! If they had gone to sleep that night NONE of them (family of 6) would have woke up the next morning. Not only did our Awesome God protect them but he used a blogger like you to help pave the way. Thank you!! Just another reason why I love blogging:)
