With Kenna dressed in her Cinderella dress and Michal dressed in her Belle gown, we began our day today at Epcot. The unanimous request was for "princesses" and there were princesses throughout the World Showcase just waiting to be met. It is blissfully uncrowded here and not only were there princesses but there were princesses without a line.
The girls saw Aurora and Belle and Mulan. They played "Ring Around the Rosie" with Belle and compared hair color and country of birth with Mulan.

They also discovered the joys of pin trading and now go running up to any unsuspecting cast member with a lanyard of pins around their neck. Kenna enthusiastically says, "Hi!" and then they invariably both want to trade for the same pin. We started them each with three pins and those three have been swapped and traded and traded again. I can see we're going to need to get them more pins since they now have pins that are "too special to trade."

After lunch at Epcot, we took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. The girls got to be in the pre-parade parade with a group of other kids and we then watched the real parade.

It was then time for Tiana's Showboat Jubilee. Tiana -- cue happy music -- is the new Disney princess who stars in "The Princess and the Frog." Michal and Kenna are completely smitten with her. The show starts with a parade through Liberty Square and then continues on the Liberty Belle steamboat. The show is really fun and colorful and the music is great. And Tiana is positively lovely.

After the Tiana show, the girls found another cast member to trade pins with and she graciously gave them each four Fast Passes good on any ride in the entire park. We headed straight to Fantasyland to use those passes and went to the front of the line at Peter Pan's Magic Flight -- twice! In Michal and Kenna's opinion there is simply not a better ride.

We then headed to Storytime with Belle and Kenna was pulled out of the audience to play the part of Lumiere. She loved every minute of being on stage with Belle and enthusiastically held up her "candle arms" for the entire show.

Princesses, parades, Lumiere and a magical flight. Today was truly a great day.
I can't wait for tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteKristi: Please give more info on the pins...do you buy them there to give away or are some given to you at some point to trade? How does it work? We're going in a few weeks and want to be ready! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteJust think, if you would not have had your girls, you probably would not be at Disney and you for sure would not be having such a great time. You guys are all soooo blessed. Keep the pictures coming! We love the girls' dresses!!!
