Practically perfect in every way . . .

Today we saw Mary Poppins.

I bought the tickets months ago and through a stroke of luck, and good timing, we ended up with seats smack in the middle of the front row. So while we waited for the show to begin, the girls were able to peek over the railing and see the orchestra warming up. And during the show they were able to see every thing that was happening since it was literally smack in front of them.

They were entranced.

They sat perfectly still for the entire three hours of the show, clapped enthusiastically at the end of every scene and were completely swept up in the magic of it all.

After the last curtain call Kenna jumped up and leaned over the railing and told the conductor, "You are an awesome conductor. That was awesome conducting."

I don't think Mary Poppins herself could have said it any better.

  1. Your daughters are very charming.
Don't you just love theatre, especially when exposing your children to it.
