Grandparents and Chocolate Malts.

My parents arrived two days ago and were no more in the front door before we ushered them out the back door so they could accompany us to dance class. When we got to dance class we found out it was try-on-your-recital-costume day. We couldn't have planned it any better. (Unless of course I would have had my camera with me.) Michal and Kenna got all decked out in their very-patriotic red, white and blue fluffy and sparkly outfit and tapped their little hearts out to "On the Good Ship Lollipop."

My dad took pictures on his camera phone.

Yesterday was Grandparents' Day at Michal and Kenna's school. (Again, I didn't have my camera with me.) There were grandparents wall-to-wall in the girls' classroom. The grandparents were invited to stay the entire time and it was pretty funny to see them all sitting in little chairs, helping with art projects and running under the parachute during gym time.

And then today we went to see High School Musical, the play, at a local theater. The girls loved it. We've heard "We're All in This Together" about 100 times since. And Kenna has declared Sharpay is her favorite character from the play. (It's the sparkles that did it for her.)

After the play we went to Two Toots for lunch -- cheeseburgers and chocolate malts delivered on a train, plus really fabulous rings out of the gum ball machine.

Everyone was happy.

The girls are so thrilled to have Grandma and Papa here. They ask them constantly if they have to go home yet.

Luckily, at least for a few more days, the answer is "no."
