Today we had a backyard BBQ with my Aunt Judy and Uncle Dick, who came in from Ohio, my cousin Bonnie, her husband Dug and their kids, Dugan and Sage, and my parents.
We ate. We drank. We celebrated Sage's upcoming sixth birthday.
In fact, this is Sage. She is my cousin Bonnie's daughter, which technically makes her Michal and Kenna's second cousin and my cousin, once removed. We've decided to just call her their cousin.
Sage has incredible long curly hair and the personality to match.

This was when she was telling me that she likes to go camping and find bugs. She was also explaining that she'd really like an adult-sized sword for her birthday. (She got the idea when she went to a Renaissance Faire.)

This is Sage and Kenna blowing bubbles. You wouldn't believe how many bubbles were blown by four kids in one afternoon. And it's driveway paint in Kenna's hair. Very artistic, huh?

This is the birthday cake and cupcakes.

And much more importantly, the birthday girl.

. . . and the birthday girl's mom.

. . . and the birthday girl's grandpa.

. . . and the birthday girl's dad and brother and cousins, who are not looking where they are supposed to be looking.

. . . and Michal, who is clearly having a wardrobe malfunction.

One final jump for joy times four.

And Grandma and Papa!

The end.
Great pictures! I love the cake and decorations...they look great!
