I woke up this morning to two little girls jumping on my bed and yelling: "Happy-Mother's-Day-Happy-Mother's-Day-come-open-your-presents."
I was then led downstairs to find one suitcase and one pink mailbox, both decorated with an American flag and a heart-shaped "Happy Mother's Day" balloon, waiting for me.
The suitcase contained my presents from Michal and the mailbox contained my presents from Kenna. Eric had taken the girls to the dollar store and had let them pick anything they wanted to give me for Mother's Day. He tried to persuade them to choose different things but they both got me the exact same things. So, in addition to two American flags on sticks and two heart-shaped balloons, I received:
- Two tubes of Colgate White Mint Zing toothpaste
- Four bouquets of silk flowers
- Two, two-packs of Scotch tape
- Two Hershey's Special Dark full-size candy bars
- Two pairs of flip flops with sparkly straps -- one pair in purple and one pair in coraly-pink
- Two pedometers. Both greenish-blue.
- Two bottles of High School Musical hand sanitizer with a caribeener clip
Just perfect.
We all then went to brunch downtown at a great restaurant in Millennium Park.
I couldn't have asked for a better day.

Kenna at brunch. My giggle bug.

This is the four of us reflected in the side of the Bean. I love how Michal is nearly doing the splits, Eric is looking sideways at her and Kenna is looking down.

This is the four of us under the Bean. Look for two pink dresses toward the bottom of the photo and you'll see us a few times.

Beautiful photos... so glad you had such a special Mother's Day!
