Today I had three of my friends, and their kids, over for a little Valentine's tea party.
There were nine kids -- six under the age of three, my girls and one other almost-five year old. I had every intention of taking lots of pictures, but all those kids meant a lot of chaos . . . a whole lot of chaos and not a lot of picture taking.
The best part of the day was that we moms had carrot cake, chocolate chip scones, coconut macaroons, chocolate-dipped shortbread hearts and tea for lunch. And if you can't eat dessert for lunch in honor of Valentine's Day then I don't know when you can!

Happy Valentine's Day! And I love the idea of a tea party for lunch, yum!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great party!! And your food sounds and looks yummy! Have a great week!

A fabulous lunch date! Very yummy goodies!
ReplyDeleteOh it all looks SO good. Did you bake it all? Sounds like a perfect day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteKristy, did you make the chocolate chip scones? I would love to make those!!!
I wish I could say that I baked it all but it all was made by a woman runs a bakery out of her home. Every single thing she makes is delicious and she delivers it right to your house. Her things are truly better than any bakery I've ever eaten at.
ReplyDeleteOh these are too delicious to even look at!
ReplyDeleteHappy Be lated Valentine's Day. Trying to catch up on posting.
Looks like everything is going well. Love the new photos. Gorgeous!
