Today fourteen little girls joined Michal and Kenna for a girly-princessy-pink-and-sparkly-all-things-fancy celebration of turning five.
The girls started in the Princess Dress Room -- oh behold the sparkly wonder -- where they each picked out the dress they wanted to dress up in later in the party. When the dresses were all carefully laid aside, they headed to the craft room where they made a stuffed animal -- the pink unicorn was the wildly-popular choice -- and then colored a t-shirt to dress him or her in. They then named their friend, filled out a birth certificate and placed him or her in a sleeping bag-backpack combination. Very fancy.
They all then moved to the tea party room for snacks, tiara-topped cupcakes and pink lemonade. With tummies full they went and put their princess dresses on, picked out accessories -- tiaras, shoes with feathers and wings -- and then had makeup and nail polish put on. The dress-up session ended with a fashion show followed by a game of "dance and freeze."
The whole thing was exactly what my princess-loving duo wanted and they couldn't have been any happier.
A big thank you to everyone who celebrated with us!

How fun! The girls are obviously having a blast. Is it bad that I wish I could do this for my next birthday party - I mean for myself? They just need some mama-sized princess dresses!
