It's the third day of November and it's 70 degrees outside. Yes, you read that right. It's November, in Chicago, and the weather is absolutely, positively, unbelievably beautiful.
Since I am well aware that it could start snowing at any moment, the girls and I decided, somewhat spur of the moment, to spend the day at the beach. The beach. In November. Have I mentioned that we don't have weather like this in November?
We spent a wonderful day at Indiana Dunes State Park. The girls built sandcastles, with Starbucks cups!, buried themselves in the sand, chased the sea gulls, collected heart-shaped rocks, wrote their names in the sand and had a really great day.
