Boo at the Zoo Means Princess Times Two.

I think I can safely declare this, "The Season of the Princess." We have princess gowns and princess wands. I get frequent requests for "princess hair" and both Michal and Kenna would bathe in "princess sparkles" if I'd let them. We've visited the Disney Store more times than I can count to just look at all the princess stuff. The girls are already planning their princess birthday party and we're headed to Disney World at the end of the year so we can see the real princesses. And today Michal and Kenna got to wear their Halloween outfits to Boo at the Zoo. Surprise. They both were princesses.

This morning, as we were getting ready, I asked them to tell me what they know about princesses and this is what they had to say:

Kenna: "Princesses are nice."

Michal: "Princesses sing slow. Mom, why do princesses sing slow?"

Michal: "Princesses eat healthy food."

Michal: "Princesses live at their castle."

Kenna: "Princesses live at Disney World."

Michal: "Princesses never hike up their dresses."

Michal: "Princesses don't pick their noses."

Michal: "Princesses are fancy."

Kenna: "If I talk to Ariel she won't hear me because she's under water. And Ariel won't share her dress and that's why I bought a wand and a crown and an Ariel dress from the Disney Store."

Kenna: "Princesses are not strangers, princesses are princesses."

And there you have it! Everything you ever wanted to know about princesses.

And our two princesses rode the carousel, marched in the costume parade -- complete with impressive princess waves -- drove a motorized Cadillac Escalade, made a mask and had a really great day!
