One of the best things about Chicago in the summer is the overwhelming number of festivals that take place every weekend. We sometimes joke that the city squeezes 12 months of living into the 12 weeks of summer.
Today we went to the Scottish Highland Games. The Games are a celebration of all things Scottish -- the music, the food and the athletic pursuits.
The girls loved all the bag pipes and drums -- and the giant ice cream cone they both got.
They had on shirts with their first initial on them so we were asked their names fairly often. We got lots of oohs and aahs for choosing such Scottish names.
And yep, there really was a haggis-throwing competition.
