We just returned home from our our first "real family vacation" with the girls -- an official load-up-the-car-are-we-there-yet adventure for four.

We spent the week in Door County, Wisconsin -- a Peninsula that separates Green Bay from Lake Michigan. It's sometimes called the "Cape Cod of the Midwest" and is absolutely beautiful! Door County has more shoreline than any other county in the US (file that handy fact away for your next Trivial Pursuit game) so there was no shortage of beaches for the girls to play on. They both very quickly learned to yell "water" every time they caught a glimpse of the lake. Michal also learned to yell "water" in between sobs when it was time to leave the beach.
