Celebrating Mother's Day

Before I was a mom I never worried about how late I went to bed. I took a shower and brushed my teeth every day and rarely had food on my clothes.

Before I was a mom my house was almost always clean. I never tripped over toys, tried to get crayon marks off the dining room chairs or learned the words to a Wiggles song.

Before I was a mom I ate at restaurants with tablecloths. I carried a small purse that didn't have Cheerios in it. I drove a convertible.

Before I was a mom I had never been puked on; peed on; pooped on; spit up on or chewed on.

Before I was a mom I didn't know how deliriously happy two little girls could make me. And I never knew just how much I would love being a mom.
