It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

You would think, for this Arizona-raised girl, Christmas would look like lights on Saguaro cacti and citrus trees in bloom but nope. It's definitely snow that makes it really look like Christmas for me. Chalk it up to too many viewings of "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" and Frosty the Snowman." And if I'm using that as a criteria, we have 10 fresh inches of the making-it-look-like-Christmas stuff and more on the way!

In the spirit of Christmas merriment, I took the girls to a Nutcracker Tea today. Kelly, Grace and Erin, my friends and wonderful neighbors, came as well. I'm quite confident that the charm of the whole affair was completely lost on both Kenna and Michal but they were both mesmerized by the harp player and Kenna sat in her chair making "harp-playing" motions in unison with the actual harpist. They also loved watching the other little girls sing Christmas carols and clapped loudly when they finished. Maybe next year they'll actually appreciate some of the finer points of the event and will even eat something other than their blueberry-banana baby food!

We met our daughters five months ago today. It seems unbelievable that five months have already passed. The girls have already grown and changed so much. I can't imagine what it will be like in a year or two from now!
