July 24 and 25 - At Home

The girls slept from 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night until after 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning!! I kept waking up all night because I was sure they would be up but they weren't.

On Sunday morning we heard Michal in her room giggling because she'd discovered how to make the bear Cara gave her play music. She eventually did go back to sleep which was just amazing.

Last night they went down easily again and were asleep minutes after we put them down BUT Michal woke up at 2:30 a.m. and wouldn't go back to sleep until 5:00 a.m. Two steps forward. One step back.

Cara and I took the girls on errands yesterday and went out to lunch at Marshall Fields! They were really good until the last 15 minutes before we were home when Michal decided she couldn't possibly sit in her carseat one more minute and wanted to make sure we knew she was not happy that we weren't letting her out.

Eric went back to work today so there is one less set of hands around here today. . . thank goodness Cara is still here!

We took them on a walk today and went out to lunch again, It is really hot and humid here and actually feels a lot like China. The poor things were sweating profusely -- and so were we!

Cara leaves tomorrow morning so it will be my first day with the girls by myself . . .

The photo to the left is of Kenna playing on a rocking horse that was mine when I was a little girl. Cara taught her how to rock on it and she just loved it. The nose has a jingle bell on it and she thought it was so funny that she could make it make noise.
